Ken just checks around and does something else.\u00a0 My career was in education as a public school teacher and counselor.\u00a0 Ken\u2019s official career was in rehabilitation.\u00a0 We have three children and are grandparents and great grandparents.\u00a0 All of the grands are girls except one great grandson.<\/p>\n<p>I grew up in Breckenridge, Texas, on a dairy farm.\u00a0 Ken and I have spent most of lives in Texas but have also lived and worked in Georgia and Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>Along the way we have had a variety of experiences and interactions with interesting people.\u00a0 We have experienced good times and bad times.\u00a0 It is my intent to share stories of family and events that happened in earlier times so that my children and grandchildren will have a record of their ties to the past.<\/p>\n<p>The antique car is our 1931 Model A400.\u00a0 I sometimes tell youngsters at car shows that the car is older than I am.\u00a0 This usually brings a curious look or even a gasp.<\/p>\n<p>Charlcy Williams Standifer<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am retired and live with my husband, Ken, near Stephenville, Texas.&nbsp;
